Product Description

Caprylic/capric triglyceride, molecular formula C21 H40 O5, relative molecular weight :372.54, based on coconut oil, palm kernel oil, litsea cubeba oil and other oils as raw materials, through hydrolysis, fractation, cutting, caprylic acid, capric acid and triglyceride esterification. Then deacidification, dehydration, and decolorization are obtained.

A colorless, odorless, transparent liquid with half the viscosity of ordinary vegetable oil. Low freezing point, good oxidation stability. It has good mutual solubility with various solvents, oils, some oxidants and vitamins. Its emulsification, solubility, extensibility and lubricity are better than common fats.


LD50 rats had 15g/kg transoral. GRAS:FDA confirms it is safe.


It is used as a diluent, emulsifying stabilizer, solvent enhancer and essence based on oil, and is also used as a defoamer and preservative in food production. The product is colorless, tasteless, transparent and clear, with good stability and storage resistance. Widely used in food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries.


The "Health Standard for the Use of Food Additives" stipulates that it can be used in emulsion flavor, beverage, ice cream, milk powder, candy, chocolate, gum candy, hydrogenated vegetable oil according to production needs.


Since octdecyl glyceryl ester can achieve colorless odorless, low viscosity, will not interfere with the flavor, in the flavor can be used as the essence of the base material, dissolving agent, diluent, stabilizer. For example, it is widely used in emulsified essence.


In candy coating, low viscosity oils are needed to obtain the ideal shiny, non-stick vitreous appearance, and glyceryl octycaprate is the ideal raw material. When it is used in conjunction with beeswax, better coating appearance can be obtained. As a film agent in soft candy, it has the advantages of high transparency, no odor, bright color and so on. The use of glyceryl octycaprate and phosphine as emulsifier of dairy products does not affect the flavor of milk, can improve the instant solubility of milk, reduce the phenomenon of fat separation of milk, regulate the fat composition of dairy products, and obtain more reasonable nutrition and health care products.
